My Bucket List


So many things to do, so little time! You would think after living in Cornwall most of my life I would have done some of these but it just goes to show you can really neglect things on your door step! Here are the 50 things (in no particular order) I want to do before I’m 40 (June 2018):

  1. Build sandcastles on Porthcurno Beach
  2. Relish all things cultural at the  Port Elliot Festival
  3. Experience Michelin Star food at Restaurant Nathan Outlaw
  4. Perch on the cliffs of the Atlantic Ocean at the Minack Theatre to watch a show (March 2016)
  5. Have lunch in the sun at Porthminster Cafe, St Ives
  6. Dance in the open air at an Eden Session (June 2015)
  7. Sunbathe at Trevone Bay (this could be a challenge in the UK!!)
  8. Cycle the Camel Trail and take in the view from Wadebridge to Padstow (May 2016)
  9. Appreciate art at the Tate St Ives
  10. Pamper myself with a spa day at Watergate Bay
  11. Be wowed by waterfalls at Kennall Vale (April 2016)
  12. Get lost at the Lost Gardens of Heligan (March 2016)
  13. Ride the Eden SkyWire
  14. Celebrate food & Christmas at the Padstow Christmas Festival  (Dec 2015)
  15. Swim in the Bude Sea Pool
  16. Find my way to the middle of the Glendurgan Maze
  17. Eat under the stars at a Porthcurnick Feast Night at the Hidden Hut (May 2016)
  18. Get tispy wine tasting at Camel Valley
  19. Start my day with breakfast at Fifteen Cornwall  (March 2016)
  20. Learn to make a pasty at the Philleigh Way Cookery School
  21. Post a letter through Ben Anslies gold post box at the Pandora Inn (March 2016)
  22. Drink one or two at the Ship Inn, Wadebridge
  23. Get close to some nippy lobsters at the National Lobster Hatchery (March 2016)
  24. See the sparkly Angarrack Christmas Lights
  25. Go quay jumping with my kiddies at Tremayne Quay 
  26. Visit the Mousehole Xmas Lights (December 2015)
  27. Sing carols at Truro Cathedral
  28. Unleash my creative side at the St Ives School of Painting (September 2015)
  29. Get an insight into the workings of the largest historic garden in Cornwall at Tregothnan Gardens (April 2016)
  30. Sooth my aching muscles in a cliff top hot tub at the Scarlett Hotel
  31. Celebrate Obby Oss (May 2016)
  32. Check out the bluebells at Ennis Gardens (May 2016)
  33. Search out the waterfalls at St Nectars Glen
  34. Mark the end of winter at the Helston Flora Day (May 2016)
  35. Devour a Cornish Cream Tea at the Waymarker
  36. Recreate my youth at the Falmouth Week 80s v 90s
  37. Be spellbound by the Rogue Theatre in Tehidy Woods (August 2015 & April 2016)
  38. Sail up the Fal to Trelissick Gardens
  39. Grab a pasty at the drive through pasty shop
  40. Sing along with the Fishermans Friends in Port Issac
  41. Enjoy a meal at the Star and Garter, Falmouth
  42. Admire the views at Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens
  43. Understand how ice cream is made at Callestick Farm
  44. Swing high Tree Surfing in the Tamar Valley
  45. Celebrate St Pirans Day at the World Pasty Championships (March 2016)
  46. Walk through Cardinham Woods
  47. Spend a weekend at Bosinver Farm Cottages
  48. Laugh at the World Belly Board Championships
  49. Pisky Hunting in Coverack (May 2016)
  50. Splash around in the Penzance Jubilee Pool  (May 2016)

  1. Wow, how amazing so many inspiring things to do and see in Cornwall. I have achieve most of the things on the list, however, I would like to paddle board on the open sea (if I get that far, without falling off) and I would also like to have a go at Segways in Goonhilly. Sounds like you have lots of adventures throughout the year, enjoy and have fun!
